On my third Silky Hayate now, buttons keep busting, yellow clamps keep splitting and popping off, aluminium seam really soft around buttons. first day with the new one and the end drops off. The sintung lopper head will not return properly either, week springs i think. I Never remember these issues with my old Hayauchi saws, Don't make em like they used to!

What others are people using?

I have an old article from Guy Mueller I was going to post on this very subject actually.  Will try and do it later.

The blades on the silkys are second to none but im still a fan of the wolf pole.  They cutting blade isn't terrible either

Yep I've got 3 tsurugi's because they are so good. not just the blade though the case is good too, rollers and the blade will go in either way round. unlike the natanoko which will only go in one way.

look forward to reading your article

I have the Silky fibre glass pole.  Nice and light.  I treat it delicately though, absolutely never use it for pulling hangers out
