Fungi app

Hi has the ArbtalkTree Fungi app been discontinued? I can't seem to find it on the Android/google play store. Cheers

Hi Roddy, after logging into my console I can see its been removed by google due to a violation, whatever that means.  Have submitted a support ticket to them to see whats wrong

We have asked before as well. It’s greatly missed ? was a huge resource for us

The iPhone app is in redevelopment, I knew about that problem.  The Android one was working fine though so this is doubly annoying

If we need to buy the iphone app again when you get that far I won’t be worried as it is/was worth its weight in gold ?

Thank you, if everyone felt the same way that would certainly make it more worthwhile!  Unfortunately I doubt that will be the case

I'm certainly not everyone, but I do.

 

I don't understand Apps, or the rewards to the app makers, but this one is a keeper. 

 

I have a couple of i-phones, one's a work(employment) phone and the others my own business phone - which I've refused to update solely because of the Fungi App. It's a reference that goes everywhere with me, normally provides enough to give me confidence in my identification (and if it doesn't I can ask Mr H). 

 

There's a couple of things that I think might improve it though. One is some cross-sectional pictures to help the Ident. (I know I'm being selfish) and the second is that I think that it's to cheap. 

 

Like I said, I don't understand the market, but I think the market is the more arboricultural than general public. It's probably not going to do hundreds of thousands of downloads, but a smaller number within a niche market who realise the value of it. If you put a new version out compatible with whatever Apples current OS is and said it was £30-£50, I'd be down-loaded it without a second thought.

 

Just my two-pence worth anyway.

Well said Mr P. If I had known I wouldn’t of let my fone update either ? the cost of the app is almost irrelevant as it’s easier than a book and always in your pocket

Unfortunately I didn't know the app wasn't still on the play store until I did a factory reset on my tablet, disappointed to learn its no longer there.

yep would defiantly download it again if I could
