New truck build where to get materials? Alloy planking etc

You got any pics richy? Hard to imagine from words
Didn't take many pics annoyingly.

I basically just made sides from the alloy dropsides with alloy channel sections (secured with rivets). then bolts to the steel. Good thing is I can unbolt it in 40 minutes or so.

Yes.

There are probably better or tidier ways of doing it but I was doing it all myself. I kept it all square and simple. Lots of rivets and some big nuts and bolts.

I think it was about £40 for a 3200mm x 400mm plank. They are still pretty hefty. Must be about 15-18kg for those. They look smart though and age really well in my opinion though.

Yes they look smart and really professional with the right end caps etc. Surprised theres not a few more places sell that stuff.
Agreed. I always thought ally planks and stokboard should be more widely available.

If you do build you own body have a look at monobolt rivets. Really strong and ideal for this kind of work.

Mono bolt rivets.... will have a look. My alloy planks came the ither day just waiting on sorting a day with my favricator man to start sorting tool box then build up chip box
