Hi guys.

i have a few saws but for loggIng I just use a little MS 211 to abuse it really. It still stays consistently sharpe however does anyone know why it does not leave a clean finish?

Obviously I’m not that bothered when logging but do not want to leave this kind of finish on a pruning cut?

Thanks

My guess is uneven sharpening, I’ve seen my ripping chains do this milling if I clear more out of the gullet on one side than the other.

Do you let the saw do the work or are you pulling it back and forward like a hand saw as you cut ? There looks like a lot of direction changes in the cut.

Ok great I will give that a go. I do have a spare bar as it’s done a few hours the old one so will just change and give it a go.

thanks for your advices
