A question for a Swede or Swedish speaker

Just looking into skills shortages in Sweden considering I might lose my right to work there due to the brexit shenanigans, and found that Skogsarbetare is in demand, which google translates as lumberjack.....

Does anyone here know if being an arborist falls under the category of "Skogsarbetare" in Sweden? I was very keen to go work there after I've knocked out the last working hoilday visa available to me

My mrs (norwegian) says skog means  the woods so skogsarbetare means wood worker . More likely to mean forestry type work

Just aske my swedish wife- says it means forestworker!

Arborist in Sweden is normally described/advertised just as arborist or as 'trädvårdare' (tree carer). If looking only for arborist jobs then I would search using arborist or trädvårdare however some job sites might have arborist listed under skogsarbetare (however as others have said this is means forestry worker).

Pretty sure arborist has its own category now. It does on the wage statistics.

 

Regarding the earlier post, it’s only forest worker. Forest (skog) can translate into woods but wood doesn’t translate into forest, wood is a material - trä.

Wood worker would translate into carpenter.
