Hi people has anyone added brakes to a chipper ?

i am planning on sending my chipper to the uk from canada but the chipper has no brakes so i will need to add them when it arrives in uk. What i need to know is how easy it is ?

I guess you’d have to change the axels, wheels and drawbar.

 

I’d  leave it where it is and buy something over here, lot less hassle and smaller European chippers are much better than the small US made counterparts.

Easiest way might be to find a trailer (chassis) with the right weight capacity, take the bed of and glue the chipper on.
That way you don't fall foul of the rules regarding home built trailers, and it would be a quick and simple job.
