Can anyone one help? Re Classic Stihl saw

I heard theres thousands of them still  used to clear the rainforest as they kept making them in some countries until recently.

How come that poor Lil bugger can keep his saw in good knick in the middle of a Third World jungle an the saws our lot have, looked knackered after 6 months ! K

I sold a non runner on eBay about 5 yrs ago for 40 quid, not interested in using it without a chain brake. In hindsight I should have kept it for the pull starter, carb etc for repairing/rebuilding TS350 'whizzers'
