do you have a link?

cheers

rich.

Hi Rich,

Assuming the requested link is for the needle files, and not the ubiquitous Silky, then any toolshop will have them.

If you're having trouble, then look for 'needle files', 'feather-edged file' or diamond files / jewellers' on Ebay. They're around £5 - £10 I think.

Good luck. Dee.

I have Felco secs, Wolf Garten bypass loppers (extendable), and silky saws (a short one and a long one). I was thinking of getting the longest Sugoi to complete my set and am very interested to hear you can sharpen them - I thought none of the silkys could be sharpened because the chrome tips wear off. Does anyone have a link to more info on how to sharpen it?

I rate Bahco loppers. The P1980 are fantastic.

The cheaper smaller capacity ones arent worth it as it possible to cut what they will do with felco 7s or easier to use the silky but the 2" capacity of the bacho p1980s makes them perfect.

I have both a 300mm gomatro and a Sugoi, the gomatro I use more.

Many of the Silky saws are 'induction hardened' to provide a low-maintenance working life but the Sugio blade is not induction hardened - so enabling it to be sharpened.

I don't have any link to sharpening techniques - sorry.

i have a gomtaro 300 allready so the sugoi would be purely for larger limbs. those of you with the sugoi what size do you have and what would you say is a maximum comfortable diameter to cut with it?

I use the Sugoi 360 - anything bigger wouldn't fit against my wee leg!
