Br500 blower slow rpm

Is there anyway to improve the output of this blower.. Yes the obvious thing, by the bad b***rd magnum instead .

 

Could I just get a retune and make sure my carbs are correctly set. I can guess that increasing it to much would mean something would fail.

 

Would it be worth a rebore?

You make sure the valve clearances are set correctly for a start. Other than that buy a husqvarna 580BTS and be done with it

it depends if the unit used to work better and now it is a bit crap or if it was never much good and you need it to work harder? If it was never much good then you are a bit stuck with it.

Yeah it's nothing like the Magnum and never was

br500 550 and 600 are all the same engines, only way to get more blow from a 500 is change the fan and housing to one from a 600 as that's the only difference

Four strokes are never as simple to get power gains out of as two strokes due to their construction.

I am using Husqvarna 580BTS. I think it is the most powerful commercial back pack blower designed for demanding tasks.
