  1. It is important that trees with braces are inspected on a regular basis and that the existence of the brace within the tree is well-documented for the safety of arborists who may be called upon to prune or remove the tree in the future.
  2. It is easier than rocket science I think. Nothing is impossible if you truly want to learn. You now have Youtube and Google.
  3. The gear that drives the oil pump is behind the clutch drum. There is also a screen that filters dirt before the pump and that may be plugged and required flushing. Empty the bar oil and flush the tank a couple of times and watch for dirt.
  4. I am using Husqvarna 580BTS. I think it is the most powerful commercial back pack blower designed for demanding tasks.
  5. Its too old. You should pick a new one. May be it has already lost the temperament quality.
  6. The machine is equipped with a two-stroke engineand must always be run using a mixture of gasoline andtwo-stroke oil. It is important to accurately measure theamount of oil to be mixed to ensure that the correctmixture is obtained. When mixing small amounts of fuel, even small inaccuracies can drastically affect the ratio ofthe mixture. For best results and performance use HUSQVARNAtwo-stroke engine oil, which is specially formulated forour air-cooled two stroke-engines. Never use two-stroke oil intended for water-cooledengines, sometimes referred to as outboard oil (ratedTCW). Never use oil intended for four-stroke engines.
  7. Sonic Tomograph or Electrical Impedance Tomograph is very useful to detect decay in trees. The Electrical Impedance Tomograph can be used in conjunction with the Sonic Tomograph to provide even more accurate analysis, helping to analyse the type of damage, with the potential to distinguish between cavities and ‘wet’ diseased wood; it is also possible to detect the early stages of decay in the tree.
  8. I have a Labonville Kevlar pair for the exact reason. But they feel a little heavier to me.
  9. I got my Meindl Vacuum Men GTX Boot recently. Very useful but costly.
  10. Leather gloves are the best choice for me. Full finger gloves are also good. I have two pairs of Metolius Climbing Glove.
  11. Some really really nice pictures. Actually I don't like smashing trees but this is my job and I have to do it. In my lifetime I have grown more than 2000 trees. That's the most beautiful part of it, I think.
