I'm now sick of the Sena wiring! 2nd set to fail this year and yes, we do look after them. Also I've had to glue one of the batteries onto the base plate as it no longer stays in the clip.
I'm not slagging off the Sena product but now just want something more robust.

I want something as good as the Peltor but for £3.99. All good suggestions appreciated.
What model are you using?

Not had any wiring issues for over a year now with Sena. A small zip tie will hold the battery on.
We have also removed the cover from the dial part. Doesn't get banged on branches now.[emoji1360]

Where do you put the zip tie? I can’t see a way of fitting it but I have a different model to yours.

Has any-one stretched to the protos specific bluetooth?

If so, what are your thoughts?

I'm just not up to shouting anymore.

The new Protos 4 user system (BT-COM) will be launching in the UK at the APF in a few weeks time.  If you are visiting, you would be very welcome on our stand (G16) to try them out.

Will it be compatible with other Bluetooth devices? i.e.: Sena

The Protos BT-COM complies with Bluetooth specification 4.2 and supports a range of compatible profiles.  So in theory I don't see why it would not be able to link with another system.

Currently the only certified communication systems for use with Protos Integral are the Protos Bluetooth System (BT-COM) and 5 options from 3M Peltor.

Sena comms sets are Bluetooth 4.1 so I’m guessing that they won’t be compatible with these new Protos 4.2.
