L200 leaf springs - negative?

L200 Mk5 (2006 onwards) pickup. The rear leaf springs on it are slightly negative (bending the wrong way for want of a better term) with hardly any weight on (maybe 100kg). This doesn't seem right to me and I think they must have been worked hard and need replacing (none snapped from what I can tell).

 

Can anyone confirm that the rear leaf springs shouldn't be negative without any load?

Yes. Down turned. They look like leaf springs when they are under heavy load.

I can’t remember exactly as I got rid of my l200 2 years ago but I do remember that the springs did squash down under not much weight. They also didn’t go too far when full either.
Fairly normal I suspect. Can you post a picture?

I have a pair of " helper springs " on my pickup ( D22 Nissan )  . This helps with a load . Might be worth a try .

Do they make the body bounce more when empty stubby?

It's a dropside body with the spare wheel off for a better view.

I can't tell. It's not obviously f*cked but just doesn't look right. I am going to put 1000kg in it this afternoon and see what it looks like.

If that’s empty I don’t think it looks right either!
Mine had to have a lot of weight to get down anything like that.

Yeah. They are level at best.
