I have used Morbark chippers quite a bit  ( down here in Devon ) and only familiar with the drum type  ( not really sure of model no  ) which are brilliant and very well made and know of two still in regular use one in excellent order with a 30hp yanmar ( I think )  six inch capacity I think but are great on twisted  bushy growth  as feed hole and roller are quite big , and the other a right donkey with an old air cooled diesel twin cylnder  that really is on its last leg .

The one on its last legs doesn't happen to be in wales does it?

Get in touch with David Harper on here or on the Facebook page. They are the Morbark importers in the UK I believe. They are popular in NZ, not quite as popular as Bandit but second in terms of large chippers. I bought an 8 inch machine, build quality is exceptional.

Thanks Fred, I'll do that.

Do you think they worth getting then? Or just to much trouble if they need a major repair?

Not a problem as such but you could be a week away from getting spares which may cause a problem if you needed them in a hurry ,they are very well made machines but a bit heavy compared to their European counterparts.
