Thieving Scum

Thought I would start a thread for peole to comment on stealing.

 

I ve just been victim of theft for the first time today. I know its only small compared to what some people have had recently but theft really gets to me. I had my advertising boards nicked from the side of the road next to where we have been working. I only got them recently too so i find this rather frustrating. Checked nearby hedges but no sight of them. Worse thing is I was doing the job as a favour for some one so money on it was tight to begin with.

On a previous thread when I was reducing the wind damaged tree there was a pikey stalking me . Think I got a pic of him on the second photo . He had the cheek to go door knocking in the close I was working in . He was eyeing up my tools:sneaky2:

They just had my name, contact details and website on. So not much use for anyone else all I can presume is someone felt threatened by me being there.

Yesterday I was visiting friend in his work shop, he said a gypsy had come around about three weeks ago offering some large Stihl chainsaws for sale cheap as he was going back to Ireland that night.

 

Funny, another friend had all his power tools stolen around the same time.

Cant think of anyone who'd pull that stunt:confused1: Reading anther thread where the dodgy lot tried to make out they crried out some tree work that someone else had done, I wonder if they nicked it to give themselves "credibility"?

About 4 years ago while doing some Crown lifting on the Limes at our local Church yard . We were asked for a business card by a guy . This does not sound strange . He was wearing Stihl chainsaw trousers and the old Stihl boots anyway my young groundie did not realised and gave him a card

when I am returning to my yard I ALWAYS check the trafic behind to see if I am being followed, etc. vigilant eyes costs nothing.

Is nothing sacred these days, am currently seeking better security for my kit and always weary of leaving stuff out on road even warning signs go missing.
