Good morning.

I have been asked to mill some walnut and the customer is happy to put sawdust on his leaf/compost heap. I read somewhere that some walnut can suppress growth in other plants and wondered if this would affect compost? Cheers

other than being full of tannin i don't think it's going to suppress anything to be honest.

 

as it's going on a compost heap the compounds would most likely get broken down by fungi and bacteria anyway...
