Timberwolf 150 roller

Hey. I've a timberwolf 150 (2001 so getting on a bit). The rollers only work if I push the green feed button and jam it (used a twig). Is this likely to be the switch itself or am I overiding something by jamming the switch? What is the switch itself called on a let's list and is it easy to rewrite a new one if it is this?

Try changing the relay next to the stress control box

Or pressing it down, as HTB says go for relays first on TWs.

I'll check the relay tomorrow. Is that in the engine compartment where you'd override the no stress? 

Is there anything else that can make the rollers do this. As I say, press and jam the button and it chips just fine. So can the switch be at fault, low hydraulic oil etc etc. Just to rule all out. Cheers, great on here as you guys like helping out

It's in the little black box, there's should be a few of them, replace them all.

 

After that (if that doesn't work) take it to a proper chipper repair place, is what I would do.

 

No point poking and prodding if you don't know much about them.

I overhauled the chipper and have rebuilt it and repaired it previously so not too bad with them. But electrics on them get annoying to be fair. This was just a strange fault but found it today thankfully. The plug from the control box where it splices in to the cable feeding to the relay had got wet/dirty and wasn't forming a contact. Cleaned it and sprayed with WD and the rollers kicked in to life. Think it's to do with the safety feature of the hopper having to be connected for the rollers to stay on. Phew! Thanks for your input guys
