One of our daily use 560xp,s suffered scored pot and piston the other day and due to its age we decided we won't repair it.  We've inherited a hardly used ms361 in good condition.  Is this saw a viable replacement?  Would love to hear people's opinions and experiences with this saw.

thanks:thumbup1:

Ah, the upgraded MS390, not so good, actually....well off the boil on the 560XP! Clam engine and not that high revving!

391 Nothing like a 460/461, to put it bluntly 391 would be like a donkey racing a pure breed race horse with the 460/461 being the pure breed race horse.

No I was the stupid one for mistaking the 391 with a 361.

I really need to get fixed up with some specs...

I used a 362 the other day and thought it was a good saw.  We got the 391,  the guy who's going to be using it says it's a bit slow but doesn't bog down when the bar is buried so he actually likes it.
