Anyone know what tree this is?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm new to this site so, if I'm doing something wrong, please tell me. I know this is a UK based site, so I'm curious if it is still good for identifying US trees. If it isn't, tell me and I will use the forum for other information beside tree identification.

I need help identifying this tree. I live in the northwest part of Georgia USA. Bartow county to be more precise. I have a creek that runs really only when it rains a decent amount. This tree is located pretty much in the creek bed. The tree is isolated other than a few (presumably offspring) located around it.
