Potato Blight

I tend to pick off the offending leaves if I catch it early enough or, as has been said, cut the tops off it it's too bad.

What spuds are you growing? As I'm also in mild and wet Devon we grow fairly early varieties to get a good crop before the blight. We're had good success with Vivaldi over the last two years, worth looking up if you want a productive early spud.

Edit to add: I'm not sure it's actually blight (early or late), but another infection, possibly some form of Leaf Spot?

Thanks guys. Bit late Paul, my Mrs has cut them back to the ground! First year we have grown them and probably made a few mistakes, watering the leaves, planted a bit tight together.

Not sure what the variety is as away at work. Will check when home.

Hopefully the ones we planted out of boxes will do ok.

Oh bugger! Looks like we grubbed em out too soon! Was concerned it would spread to the rest.

I assume the spuds will be ok if we leave em underground a couple of weeks.

Thx for advice

They'll be fine. Just won't grow any more.
