i dont have the equipment to sharpen my self, i have heard that it,s very important to get the angle right or it can weaken them, and they dont perform as well.:confused1:

Yeah many people bang on about hollow grind etc as the holy grail of grinding your blades. I grind using a ceramic microcrystaline wheel on a standard bench grinder which cut cool and very fast.

Never had a problem, ever.

i wouldnt use saturn knives, was very dissapointed, actually appalled at their service. sent a pair of blades that had been incorrectly sharpened by a groundie-he made them the wrong angles, they just followed those angles-despite their blurb:

1 degree towards mayhem or 1 degree towards contentment??

Believe it or not when your blades are not re-sharpened to the required OEM spec you are putting

your machine through unnecessary stresses that will have an impact on your machines performance

and eventually the moving parts.

At Saturn Machine Knives Limited we will ensure your blades are returned to the

original specification - not to the angle that is currently destroying your machine!!

they did not sharpen blades to OEM specification

I use Tewkesbury saw company. They do my TW150 blades at £3.00 each, a bit more if they are really blunt i.e. one sharpen £3.00 but to go over them twice £6.00. Simples.

They collect/deliver mine for £1.00 each way cos they have avan that goes to the industrial restate where I am each week. So I send 3 pairs at a time costs £20.00 bargain!

I guess the postage costs woudl be higher for you.

Here thye are
