we spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to destroy some rope savers by dropping 100kg weights in a dynamic test from various heights. We used yale blaze rope and AP tied ina vt config. After 2 hrs of dropping from 1m, 2m and 3m we had broken nothing. The last drop was 5m+ and still nothing vbroke, the main damage was the AP had virtually welded itself to the blaze-this stuff is strong!! in fact evrything we use is v strong and our bodies and anchor points will be the weak point that breaks i feel. i think if we had of used standard poly hitch cord it would of melted straight through btw
