Evening all!

Getting a new hydraulic splitter (?) this week so thought I'd change the hydraulic filter and oils also. I know it needs to be SAE 10 and can see where the filter is in the hydraulic tank.

Is it as simple as replace filter and top right up with oil? I can't see any markings on the hyd tank.

Thankyou as always for any advice

Jonny

Filter is in the top of the Tank.Unscrew the big lid on the tank (the tank is on the left hand side when you open the bonnet) the filter is under that from memory

I use normal engine oil. The tanks are a pain to fill, it takes ages. My tank has a glass port hole near the top.

Why?

I guess yours is a 900 or 1100, with a steel tank?

Jonny there should be a maximum and minimum mark moulded into the plastic.

Its needs to be about two thirds too three quarters full.

Whilst looking for the markings on the hyd tank I've noticed this pipe isn't attached! Is it supposed to be on the tank or tucked up behind the fuel filters where I found it... 7edc0e2db552d22f8fd41df957fcb8d6.jpg

Should be connected to the tank.

Ok.... changed the hydraulic valve under the body today, new hydraulic oil and filter [emoji106]🏻

However... with nothing in the spool valves on the front the splitter works as it should. But when I plug the hydraulic winch in it doesn't matter what I do, both the winch and the tipping ram work at the same time. Am I missing something stupid or does that mean there's more things to sort?

Cheers
