Thats a shitty thing to happen to anyone mate.

One of our lads was doing a hedge job as a favour for his sister inlaw,he was sat in his van eating his roll when a cheeky bastard opened the back door lifted out the blower and disapeared up a tenement close.The lad got out to givr chase but it was a secure entry..bye bye blower.

Got to get this off my chest cos the mrs is tired of listening and says(somehow) its all my fault??!! I reckon i,d get more understanding from me old arb mates.

 

I,ll make it short(ish) cos i could build up to a rant if i allowed myself, though i am more perplexed than angry.

 

Its this friday gone, day two of a pretty easy job tbh. Beech fell and stumpgrind, Field Maple reduction(bit late but we,ve been busy!) Alls well heading for success, plenty of tea coming out the kitchen,weathers good, time to have a lunchbreak and listen to the cuckoo!

 

Friday afternoon, we,re working on our doorstep and pretty much know the few people that pass by ,all mostly locals, dog walkers ,drivers tooting to the point i was spending a lot of time waving whilst up the(small/med) Maple which incidentally was about ten(max)steps from me in the driveway in full view as was the road going both ways.(which is quiet and rural)

 

At some point i said to the groundie could ya go grab the t540 please,to which he shouted from the truck..it aint there mate! Ok grab the 362....it aint there either!

 

Hmmm..did you put them in this morning? ....yep...sure?.....er not really?

 

The yard is close you nip back and grab them to finish the job

 

20 minutes later...not there must have picked them up??

 

So where are they i,ve waved or chatted to most of the people who have passed?? and the truck is almost touchable from where i am working??

 

AND WE'VE BEEN BLEEDIN' ROBBED OF TWO SAWS!! FFS.!!

 

How can that happen?

Yep, agree with both.

 

Working men get paid for doing a good job, the worst that happens is something goes wrong/customer isn't happy so it takes a bit longer than planned.

 

Thieves get paid when they sell our tools, the worst that goes wrong if they get caught they go to jail.

 

Thats why they are good at what they do, scum.
