Bandit stump grinder wireless issues

What are the symptoms Ben? I only ask as a few years ago my carlton 4012d had an intermittent radio problem and it turned out to be a small earth wire going to the engine that was broken but touching with vibration when revving.

Sent from my SM-N910F using Arbtalk mobile app

That is one reason why I don't want to send the remote to the US as it could be something simple.. that is not even in the remote...

Some problems we have had are batteries, aerial loose or damaged, switches, water ingress in the transmitter, water in the electrics if pressure washed, bad earths or connections which can be a nightmare, chaffing wire(also a nightmare). Anything more than this is usually requiring the manufacturer to bench test.

Our nightmare 4012 had a string of problems stemming from pressure washing which had caused water ingress into poorly protected areas.

However, these where compounded by some simple toggle switches on the remote control box itself which wear out quite fast as well as the red stop button which also has a short life.

These items, not cheap mind, are an utter ballache to source in Europe except from the machines dealers.

Last stop switch cost 100 euros!
