Replacing velcro pads on Buckingham spikes

Evening all

After what must be 10 years of putting up with the spikes rotating around my legs and bruising my calves I'm now a bit fed up and want to replace the tops.

Anyone fitted good replacements? Not sure if I need an insert. Old ones didn't have them. Pretty sure they are buckinghams. Attachment loop thing looks pretty common -
