Do you think a bracing system of some sort would have been appropriate in these trees?

weak unions & over weight limbs

 

Not a great fan of bracing, due to the artifical altering of the trees structural dyanamics ,when the tree finally needs to be removed it poses a massive hazard to the climber.

 

in an ideal world better tree management would stop this however its far from an ideal world

 

I had a very interesting chat with a TO today & yes remedial or interventional works could save many excellent specimens however at the time when its would be good to do the management works to the client it doesnt seem that important re the expense to the client for a possible outcome manty years ahead however when the events play out and the result is finally evident the issues in mosts cases are well beyond managing

time to admit enoughs enough

A shame but in all to many cases it is sadly the truth.
