With softwood stacks half and half

 

Hardwood wiggles will be a good bit less

 

If you can get away with those figures when buying timber, your laughing.

Can someone help me calculate the tons in a stack.

It is 12m long.

The wood is cut to 2.7m

The hieght of stack is 1.8m

 

All hardwood, not particularly straight, worst than average I would say.

Its oak and ash

Length x width x height x 0.75 for air gaps

Nope, that's volume.

Ash about 0.6-0.8

So if I times 43 by 0.75

So about 32 tons

Missed the 'tons' bit just assumed volume. So just x on the weight per m3
