Lowloader transport around glasgow?

Just not getting any reasonable quotes for lowloader transport, 750+vat for a 120mile round trip seems a bit much? So just checking if there's anybody you guys would recommend.

Is it an artic you want or a smaller lorry? If it is an artic then P A Laing from the borders travels all over the uk, they move a lot of big forestry machine to the highlands so are passing Glasgow regularly, try and do it on a back load so they are passing close to you instead of them coming to you direct from there base as it works out far cheaper, google PA Laing for their number.

I charge out the artic/lowloader/timber trailer/bin @ £150 an hour as mates rates locally so maybe the £750+vat is not too far out of bed for a 120 mile round trip.

Just a big tall (unroadworthy) trailer, got a reasonable one in the end at 375

I dont know how they do that, these things can scoff ten gallons an hour if your ragging it.
