Partner 550

Hi,

There's a Partner 550 for sale in a nearby village, it's a non-runner but the vendor says it fires. Are there any parts still available for this model? Are there carb kits still available at all? I was going to offer £30 and see if he accepts it, he wants £40. It wouldn't be for serious work, just occasional logging/felling jobs. I just fancy tinkering with something with a bit more oomph.

It uses a Walbro WJ-1C carb and shouldn't be an issue to get a replacement kit!

Plenty of parts no longer availble for this machine, most starter parts, no chain brake parts etc.

Thanks for that, I'll take a look at it at some point over the next few days, if it's sparking and has got enough compression I might take it, as long as there is no other obvious structural damage etc.

I picked it up today, very good spark and loads of compression, no casing damage either. I'll have a play with it tomorrow starting with clean filters and new fuel.
