Greenmech chipper wont start!?

Greenmech quadchip wont start, its showing 'lid' on the ignition screen. Any ideas? Got a big pile of knarley apple stacked up in the customers garden that needs chipping!

Is the Bonet shut properly? Failing that is there a switch to tell the chipper the bonnet is shut?

The only sensor i can see is on the shute. Have played with that and cant see anything obvious.

Pretty sure the ones I have used have a sensor for the bonnet.

Just read this , did you manage to get it sorted,...?

If 'lid' comes up on the display on a Quad then it's most likely the 'link' wire in the harness behind the battery by the fuses.

It's a simple loop of wire on a small plug that simply makes a circuit as this feature isn't required for a switch on the Quad.

If you can find the 'link' then just unplug it and make sure the contacts look good and clean, refit it and test to see if it's cured the fault.

If not, give us a ring at Greenmech and we can talk you through re programming the computer software..

If that was the problem then it would be showing 'chute' on the display..........

Good point, sorry. Ive had that loads of times and just stuck.it down now. Not too.sure what lid means then. Good luck mate
