Probably one of the biggest in Wales now. Process unbelivable amounts of firewood each year. When you see some of the stack of firewood, your brain goes into meltdown trying to work out how many hundreds of tons are there !

Credland firewood down the road has a shredder that is the size of an artic lorry trailer (specially imported from the USA), and i have yet to see anything that will not go through it. However with the largest screen, the biggest chip size it will produce is 2-3" which are not quite big enough. I do noy know weather the screen can be removed totally, but i will find out.

Cheers for the tip Buzz

theres a guy who lives not far from me (kidwelly area) whos got an arctic trailer type chipper, dont know if its the same type as youve seen but ill try and find out what size chip it does, apparently it takes anything you can chuck at it stumps n all, i think the guy has been a bit premature buying this machine, he bought it because he has plans of building a bio fuel power station on the site of an old coal washery but has had big opposition, he has also bought standing woodland in alaska, poland and a couple of other countrys i think ready to ship back, ill try and find out more details for you, by the way where in w wales you based.

You need a shredder with a knife conversion like the JENZ 660, run it with the hydrulic screen part lifted or fully lifted and see what it produces. Ask the operator for a sample of material before you commit to the hire as they will of course tell you they CAN meet your spec. I suspect it will do the job but check anyway.
