Entec roller problem

I have a problem with my entec petrol chipper with hydraulic rollers. The bottom roller stopped working yesterday. In reverse it turns, but going forward it doesn't and therefore won't pull in branches. It was a wet and long day before the chipper developed the problem. Electrical problem perhaps? Any ideas how I can diagnose the problem and solve it?

I had this exact problem on my entec 1995 diesel.

Unfortunately, it did turn out to be the spline inside rollers. Need machining again. Whilst mine were out I had the roller blades resharpened. This has made a significant difference in machine performance. Well worth doing in my opinion.
