Timber Required (wrexham/chester area)

Hi all,

 

Been reading this forum for a while and found it very informative and helpfull. I have been doing logs for a few years now mainly for personal use and family. I am from a farming back ground and do agricultural contracting part time. Over the years i have been able to get enough timber from wind blown trees and odd clearing jobs but supplies are going down quicker than they are being replemished. I have got a bit of machinery now, Tractor and loader, log splitter,ms 880.390 and an empty silage pit !!!so am looking at utilising the stuff and give me something to do on wet winter days. So am after any timber or contacts for timber supplier suitable for logging either possibly to buy an artic load or any from local tree surgeons. Collection possible from chester/wrexham area.

What lenghts are they and diammeter .what wood is it is it dry.is there vat on this pprice?

3m lengths, mainly maple, birch, ash. up to 18" dia. Not seasoned. no.

Would you be able to do a load of stuff up to 12 inch diammeter as my palax will not take any bigger.would this be allright to burn sraight away having lots of people asking for harwood dont want to bull **** them.

I'll see what I can do regarding sizing. It will not be seasoned though, it will be fairly fresh.
