As above but can't see where its leaking from despite it needing 10 ltrs every week, so about every 20 hours. Puzzling as there are no are no wet joints or patches beneath. Anyone come across similar? Had the machine from new 2 years ago & no issues.

leswold , the most likely place for a leak that bad would be a roller motor.

Have a look under the machine and see if the fixed roller motor looks wet , unlikely as you haven't noticed a leak but it needs checking..

If that looks dry then release the tension on the moving feed roller spring and remove it then using a 10mm Allen key socket , undo the two cap head bolts and lift out the roller motor on the moving feed roller , the spline should be free from oil but may well have grease on it. If there is oil evident here then it will be the seals on this motor....

Is a feed roller motor leaking around the drive shaft? I'm not familiar with the setup on the quadchip but if there is a weep from a roller motor it would probably end up in the chip unnoticed. Pull the motors and check for wetness would be my starting point.

Ours did the same thing.

Mysterious oil drop BUT a few drops overnight on the workshop floor as a clue.

You can get the motor refurbished for a fraction of the cost of a new one.

Don't bin it whatever you do!

Having slept on it I realised the feed rollers were v clean looking (wet?) yesterday. So got up at 5am to check & yes, it was the bottom/fixed roller pump. Greenmech were excellent & honest enough to admit they've had issues with seals there & are sending a complete new pump, along with a seal kit to fit to the leaking one so we'll have a spare motor. Hopefully it'll be here in the morning so just one days downtime. I'll be saying a proper thanks to GM once done. Thanks for the input on here too.:001_smile:
