so just the saw and not the splitter and conveyor then dave

 

exactly, just mounted on a frame for logs, could easily make one but obviously if worker chops his hand off I would have to leave the country

Wasn't modern though.

Exactly, you have obviously come against the auditory problem of listening to the said radio country sitcom yourself

just by a processor dave, and get the machine to do everything.

 

Buying a processor that can split 6-way with 20 tonne force and cut 18 inch logs is a tad expensive, firewood is a bonus I would never rely on it as a business and therefore can not justify £15k outlay.

hyraulic chainsaws used to be produced for use out of mewps, utility companies used them alot. Not seen a modern one but it would be alot quieter than a petrol kiddie

search for stanley Hydraulic tools. also look on ebay they crop up abit on theretoo.

 

I dont want to buy just a hydraulic chainsaw, Im interested to see if there is a full log cutting unit that is designed specifically for job :thumbup1:
