My 550xp has become a bit of a pain to start. Plenty of fuel, primed, choke on but it struggles to start. Once it's been running for a bit though will start fine again once it's been stopped. Can anyone suggest anything? Cheers

Choke on, prime, decomp in, pull until coughs. Then choke off, don't prime again, do not decomp and pull until it starts. Is this what you're doing?

When was the last time you changed the plug. Had a similar problem, checked the obvious or so I thought. Morning I was due to hand it over to Dinosaw, I changed the plug. No more problems after the plug swap.

With the 560 I don't use the primer to start and I've run it dry a couple of times without problems. If you've got another saw it's probably worth swapping the spark plugs to test.
