Log to chip ratio

This could be the most pointless thread ever, but.... I was wondering that since i started using my new yard in feb my chip pile is about 1/3 the size of the log pile. This seems like a lot of chip compared to previous years, could be lack of takedowns? or perhaps more people keeping wood?

id say for every mog load of timber we have 10 loads of chip. Done alot of conifers recently which give us tons of chip as we chip every last bit if we can, and any decent wood customers are keeping.

Mostly chip, its great that people keep the wood i have an outlet for chip 1 mile from the house but about 10 mile for the wood, everyone wants the timber i dont do firewood so they can have it.
