Broken pto shaft

Hi all, I have an old tp860 pto chipper and two weeks ago the universal joint on the clutch end of the pto sheared off. Can't seem to buy just the clutch assembly for the pto, and the whole pto shaft assembly is going to be over a grand from tp deaker. Any ideas as the machine is not really worth spending this much on, or does any one have an 8-10 inch pto machine for sale? Many thanks Peter

Hi cant you just replace the spider why do you need to replace the clutch assembly?

The only thing I've seen with a shaft that size is a big square baler but no overload clutch on that unfortunately just shear bolt. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Chris

Going to contact tp direct to see if they just sell outer housing, but tp dealer here could only do whole shaft assembly :-(

That looks the same as a Walterscheid unit, you should be able to buy the clutch drum separately. If not machine the drum face and weld a truck flange to the front that has the same size UJ.
