Kiln dry crate amounts ???

Hi all !

Has anyone bought crates of kiln dry in and if so what volume loose did you get ?

I bought a few in last season and a 2 cubic meter crate didn't give much more because the logs were small.

What size crate, and how 'neat' are they stacked in the crate.

If you work the other way, a cubic metre of loose logs tends to work out at 0.65 to 0.7 m3 when stacked. So find the internal volume of the crates you are buying and that should be a good guide. Crates I've had in the past have broken down to about 2 3/4 metres but again it depends on your crate size as they aren't all euro pallets.

The company who gave me the quote said the pallets are :-

 

0.85 x 1.17 x 2.0 RM

Crate sizes given by sellers are usually the EXTERNAL crate sizes and include the pallet itself.

Where / who they from, as they sound like quite a small crate???

Can't remember the company name but do remover they offered loyalty points for buying lots.

I hate loyalty points with a passion.

 

Just seem like a gimmick to me IMO....
