Is that 5m public liability and 7k tools. Sounds about a bit pricey bit in my experience policies are a minimum of £750 as they (the broker and actual insurer) need to make something out of it.

Just got a new quote from trust

Forestry and domestic trees, 25-30k a year, 7k took cover

£900 but sounds a lot although the company sounds great.

Haven't heard back from arborisk yet.

Pli is about 350ish per year so yours sounds expensive to me for only 7k in tools

Wait for arborisk to come back to you

What's the £25-£30k a year? Turnover?

If so that's scarier than the £900 quote.

That's my aim to take that much this following year. I make some money through greenwood work and teaching crafts but I wish it was more.

My first year my aim was £10k and my tree insurance was £900, I did £25k that year.(1999)

Don't aim low, aim high. Aim for £100k, forget greenwood turning and get up the trees, that's where the money is.:001_cool:

I always work hard and aim for as much work as I can fit into a day.

The craft work can earn me more In a day than Treework easily and don't have to be out in the rain.

I paid just short of 3k for my insurance from trust. Makes me wonder if I got ripped off!
