  2. I have the same machine. Ran like a champ season after season. Then I bought some other machines and due to one being bigger and more powerful (Kawasaki 45cc) and another being smaller and more manageable (Kawasaki 23cc) the Stihl got sidelined. Came to use it again and the clutch shat itself, so I replaced that with OEM clutch and ran it a few times. Then I left it with fuel in for a long time and the carb got gummed up. Opted for Chinese copy carb off amazon and fitted easily enough. Ran like a champ from the off. Used it a few times and noticed it was going out of tune quickly and now cuts out completely after a very short time of use (10-20 mins). I’ve got a few spare cheapo carbs to throw on it, but frankly if they’re all as bad it’s a waste of time swapping them. I’d either buy a genuine carb or get access to an ultrasonic cleaner and maybe a rebuild kit for the standard carb. i only own two pieces of Stihl equipment, and was a massive fanboy 15 years ago. I’ve had problems with BOTH Stihl machines since and none with my other kit. Doubt I’ll ever buy a Stihl machine ever again unless it was cheap beyond belief.

  4. These are pretty good, you can with a little practice get the saws, all the fuel cans, rigging, safety gear and enough food to see the day out, all in one go, with the added advantage if you misjudge it a bit you and all the kit will smash most of the top out saving a lot of work, and you can do the rest when you regain consciousness.
  5. *Reaches for the Makita battery* 🤣🤣🤣🤣🥵
  6. Good work! Phew! p.s. What saw/bar combo are you using? Do you use standard 6mm burrs in your die grinder or have you bought a 1/4” chuck?
  7. reminds of one time I came home late from the pub, the missus was fuming, but look I said,, I won you a fur coat in a competition, what kind of competition she asked,, the biggest willy competition, I proudly announced. looking somewhat horrified she said,,"you never got it out for the whole pub to see did you" I winked at her,,,"only enough of it to win"
  8. I can’t even go outside without my neighbours complaining about a giant penis being in my garden! (especially if I nip out for a slash 😁)
  9. take a little time with cucumbers, a slip here and there with the saw and the neighbours will be complaining about the giant penis in your garden, you know easily folks get offended these days.
  10. It’s a real ambition crusher, that’s for sure 🫨 I will work my way up to the fungi stuff in due course… think I’ll start with the elegant form of a cucumber, or maybe a potato 🥔 😁
  11. Glad I stocked up while it was still red. Everyone knows red oil makes your engine more powerful. 💪🏻 🔥
  12. I once made an old stump into a big toadstool for a couple after felling a tree for them, they were happy enough, even painted it to look more realistic, but that moose is off the scale. a buddy of mine did a few "tiki" heads for a luau type event.
  13. I won’t be doing anything that fancy for a few days….. Probably start with something I little more subdued and less ‘show-offy’ like this bad boy….
  14. chainsaw carving ya say,, how 'bout this guy,
  15. Yesterday
  16. feck off! I have over a hundred used saws, some might be well worn, but none are stolen.
  17. Yeah, I think I ate too much cheese after dinner 😃 it was just heartburn, went away within minutes once I’d stopped laughing. 😆 Might keep my one remaining Makita 18v battery that holds charge on standby so I can lick it if I need a defibrillator! 😂🤣
  18. sorry man, you gonna be ok though?? right. does that take the makita batteries?
  19. my late friend had some eggs given to him and put them under a broody, odd looking things when they hatched,, turned out they were shamo aseels, they were impressive birds, fortunately only one was a cockerel, but boy was he a character, he would be affectionate like a loyal cat, and actively sought it out, but totally different with any threat to his hens, he would ride on his horses back, lie down with lurchers, and once he saw one attacking a fox that fancied chicken that night he let loose a full blown onslaught, between him and the dog they didn't just kill it,, they feckin' shredded it. the kids would carry him about on carts and even dressed him up one time. he was one comical guy alright.
  20. This gave me the giggles, and now I’ve got a heart arrhythmia 🤣 edit: it’s ok I think it was just heartburn from an early attack of the Christmas cheese stash earlier 😄

To add to the futility, I'd suggest starting with a cheap ones, they are not bad, you need to learn maintence, and its useful to have saws of different sizes. Lidl 53cc 18" for £60 Farmertec G2511 25cc Echo clone for £90 G111 020T clone for £230 G372XP or G660 clone with 20-28" for £300 £680 is not much more than your budget but would set you up for most work. My list is pretty similar to the above except I have a genuine Echo 2511 as well as the clone, a genuine 020T, and a Mcculloch cs340(Husky 235 but black). Also a battery Makita UC002. I'd avoid used, they are all battered or stolen.
  22. If anyone else sharpens like me with a dremel and diamond burrs this is a great deal...under a tenner for 24, three sizes, 8 of each. Ok , there coming from China but they arrived in good time and the quality is fine. Versatile Diamond Chainsaw Sharpener Files Pack of 24 3 Assorted Sizes | eBay UK WWW.EBAY.CO.UK 5/32"(4 mm) for electric chainsaw, 3/8 chain. 3/16"(4.8 mm) for small oil chain saw wheel, 325 chain, large 3/8 chain. 7/32"(5.5 mm) for saw wheel saw wheel such as big oil chain, 404...
