had ago at another bench with some oak my m8 had lying around so i milled some planks up for him and then slabbed a 5" peice for mysef, it isnt finished yet but am gona sort the legs out after ive treated it and sanded it down

i was using a jonsered 2165 turbo import with a husky 24" bar:thumbup::lol:

Arghhh :blushing: That one backfired! Is that a 'mini mill' you got there, if so whats it like, is it stable in the cut or does it flutter?

IT WAS ALRITE,JUST MAKE SURE U USE A RIPPING CHAIN AND GET YA LEVEL RITE, I USE A PLANK SCREWED TO THE TOP AND USE A LEVEL TO GET THE RITE LEVEL THEN MILL AWAY,YOU COULD BUILD A LOG CABIN WITH ONE OF THE SMALL MILLS, IM DEFINTELY GONA GET A BIGGER MILL

 

I WOULDNT GO ANY LONGER THAN 24" AND WEN I MILLED THE OAK IT WAS GOING THREW THE HEART SO IT WAS A BIT JUMPY, I JUST TOOK MY TIME:thumbup:

IT WAS THE HARDEST BIT OF WOOD IVE CUT, JUST MAKE SURE YA CHAIN IS REALLY SHARP
