would you risk your reputation here:
What does due diligence mean today?
Everybody knows the obvious bit. If you're putting yourself forward as a supplier in a commissioning or procurement process then it's likely that your trading history will get checked out.
What many businesses clearly don't realise is that there's a good chance that somebody is going to Google you too and report on their findings - officially or not.
What's gonna pop up when you are Googled? What's publicly out there on Facebook?
Chainsaws, climbing, heavy machinery & public drunkenness is a match rightly made in deal-breaking, reputation-protecting, heaven.
Closing deals, getting the job, is hard enough already - why would you give anybody the opportunity to screen you out?
Every job you miss out on because of a daft publicly facing personal pic, a stupid comment or {fill in your own public madness here} raises the cost of acquiring the jobs that you do eventually get.
Tip: Look what's on Facebook. Does it clash with what you’re saying on your business website? If public stuff on your personal page is gonna put off the sort of people you want to attract, then change the privacy settings or get rid of it.
