Tw 125 green button fault

Chipper was fine this morning, now infeed won't feed in unless we have lodged a stick on to the button, is this bad for the machine at all?

 

Haven't got the tools onsite to undo te electrical box and take a look in, it used to do this maybe once a month, but wOuld fix itself after pressing in the red button, hoping it's not too bad

I had a similar thing. If it is an intermittent fault then it might just be a case of replacing the relays at both the switch, and the roller. That's all mine was. Used to make me lose my **** when it played up, but such a simple, inexpensive fix. Hope that helps

Check the wiring under the hopper and going to the stop bar switch

 

150 and 190 have plugs in the wiring ( can't remember if yours has as well !)

The wires sometimes get half pulled out and cause an intermittent fault, also the stop control bar switch get a fair bit of stick from the weather and road spray and once that water gets in its down hill for the switch!!

Is it the button type or paddle type ? My chipper had the button type and the switch and button went down, we were unable to source a new button and up graded to the new paddle type box from spectrum plant, but they did have some switches in stock worth a call

Hello, Jamming sticks in switches so they wont operate properly will compromise the safety of the machine, Sound like the switches and circuitry needs checking asap.

Jut as an update, the spring had gone in the reverse switch, so the switch was being triggered by vibrations, 5 new switches for good measure and it's working away quite happily again!
