Carving for a living

Hello everyone,

Do any of you carve solely for a living or also supplement income from other areas?

The reason I ask is I was inspired to carve after seeing the work on here & managed to sell around ten mushrooms last year in a local shop ( very surprised to say the least as the pics below were my first attempts).

Sound. Good for you.

I've sold a few bits in the past, given some away as well. Good feel good factor if you can make a living, but I had to do tree work too. Busy doing other things these days, but always got some 'project' on the go.

Saw David Nash at Kew last year or so. Inspirational. & he's made a career out of it. There's a thread on here if you do a search.

All the best
