how to get me commissions

Hi all

hope everyone is well , does anyone have any advice on the best way to obtain some commission work on stumps and trunks,I've carved lots of logs over the years and allways pushed to try and get some commission work,even to the extent of writing to the local council to see if the wanted a few of the large trees that have fallen made into benches for free,!! but no reply! any advice much appreciated!:thumbup:

 

here are a few bits i done on sat as tree work has been a bit slow!

local shows is good exposure

consider maybe contacting a couple of local amenities/nurseries/schools and offer to do something for them for free and then get it into the local paper also helps

got a facebook page? see if there is a local facebook group for your local area and join it and offer on there to do something for the local schools...

its all about getting your work seen and, if its good, people will remember it and you will get commissions

hi dervish thanks for that i think i will try and contact a few schools .i have a Facebook page, once i get good il be airline:) thanks very much for the advice!!!!!:thumbup:
