prussik cord

Recommended Posts

General question, is there anything to stop us using ocean vectran as our main prussik , in conjunction with a hitchclimbing system, it says load bearing, more about diameter. I thought there had been noise about diameter in relation to what you can do with a sugoi in a single stroke, but lets be honest, if its that close to the rope ya positioning is not great

When the system is loaded the pinto stands upright, which means that when you tend slack the rope runs against the biner instead of the pulley sheave.

The spacer basically acts like a pulley. It's the one flaw with the pinto I've found.

Yeah, cool. didn't know if you may be pulling a loop of tail through the krab to create a 2:1 with a remote revolver/micro-pully and sling?

Good idea mate . I never even considered setting up a mechanical advantage system like that

personally i reckon it would be sweet as to use as a hitch. just like any other check wear and tear. simple common sense, simple common sense and it will be fine. i tried it for a while but didnt get on with it. to bitey for me, but works well.
