Hi guys,

I'm interested in purchasing a TP 160 pto for my leyland daf 4x4, just wondering if this is good enough to handle normal day to day chipping obviously it's not an animal but my reasoning behind going for this than the 200 is that it's fixed on my truck and there's nearly double the difference in weight plus the fact if I ever want to go in a very bad area I can take it off and get my holder tractor to run it. Basically I just want to know if they are a good machine and can handle and chip well. Cheers

Sorry, I've not looked into this in any great detail....a GreenMech 150 pro is "side fed", so could lend itself to this kind of conversion.

But, ditto previous comments....how will you drive any chipper? Why only 6"? Why not get a moggy? Will it be dear to run on white diesel?

My reason behind 6" is the weight issue as it weighs just over half a tonne where as next up is nearly double the weight, I'd love an 8 or. 10" but heard the 6" in TP are meant to be good, was running a Wessex 10" before this but it weighed over a tonne and the frame cracked due to the bouncing around over time but I always felt it just wasn't right so that's why I'm hoping something lighter and capable will do the trick. question on the pto, is my truck suitable for running this chipper? i'v ran a few chippers off it and never had a problem
