Echo cs350t help

Hi. I bought an echo cs350t at a farm sale last year that I have been fixing up. Have replaced several parts to make it safe. Now I just need to get it running properly.

Here's the problem.

Starts lovely and sounds good.

If I don't touch the throttle the choke stays on and it ticks over Ok. It never seems to flood with the choke on. Im used to saws thst flood in an instant. When I pull the throttle in it revs up again sounding good then dies.

Choke back on starts up then the same.

Thought I'd ask before playing with the settings.

Advice appreciated

Cheers

James

I took the carb off already and removed cover from metering side. It was spotless so I just gave it a quick blow out. I did inspect the gasket between carb and cylinder and it looked Ok but not 100%.

I cleaned the air filter and the seal between filter and carb looked positive.

It's strange because starts 2nd pull and all sounds and looks good.

Thanks. Just had a play and pretty sure problem is carb settings. My carb doesn't match any in the service manual .The carb I have is wt 319. 622b

Both screws were only 3/4 turn out.

I've had a play and can get it running better but either with a really fast low idol or low revved ropey sounding top end.

Think I will watch a few videos on carb tuning and try again later.

Advice appreciated.

James
