Good morning Orchard..you still awake? Power pruners are often a part of a tree teams kit...especially good for crown lifts or tipping back of smaller trees or where a lot of trees are growing in a row. The cutter can walk along quickly trimming one by one with a team mate following him chipping up.certainly not a replacement for a climber they can be very useful. To ease the weight of them you could attatch them to an easy lift harness and save your arms, back and shoulders...they are great (when reachable) for cutting tips away from street furniture etc...if you can afford one...get one! Yer still awake, always awake! They do seem handy. I find it pretty hard to control them though. My quality of cut drops the higher i cut with them. It's something that I can imagine could pay for itself easily in a few jobs if used correctly. Another thing to add to the wish list!!!
